Out Of The Trees Woodart is inspired by my love of all things wood, the beautiful outdoors, and creating. I'm so excited and grateful that I can combine so many of my passions into my creations and share them with you.
About Me:
My passion for woodworking and crafting/art comes from my parents. My love of all things wood started basically from birth. My dad is a woodworker, cabinet maker, carpenter, general make everything from wood kind of guy, and I grew up with the smell of wood, the sawdust in the shop, and "building" things only the way a tiny child can. My mom is the crafter. When we were kids she was doing crafts and sewing with us all the time, always coming up with new things for us to make. I truly cherish the time I had with my parents doing these things, and I'm so grateful they took the time and taught me so many of their skills.
About 5 years ago, when, like so many others, I strived for more balance and peace in my life, I got back to my roots and started creating again. I started by making wood signs with quotes, poems, and empowering words to inspire positivity and intentional living in my home for myself, my 2 kids, and everyone else who came to see us. Then, I decided that my goal is to have everything that can be made with wood for my home to be made by me, or my family, including furniture and other decor items. Which brings me here, to now, where I want to share the things I love, creating beautiful and unique handmade things that can hopefully bring that same beauty and joy to your homes.
These days you will find me with my dog, in my garage (or my dad's where I'm so grateful he is still teaching me new skills) working on projects. And when we aren't there, we are generally out hiking in the beautiful BC mountains, camping, and fishing, which, outside my garage (aka woodshop), are my favorite places to be.
At Out Of The Trees I strive to create a variety of things, sometimes the only common factor being that they are all made with wood. I am dedicated to creating unique and different items for every area of life inside and outside our homes, bringing both my passion for the outdoors and my hope to fill homes with beauty and inspiration to you. Each item is handcrafted in my own space. I take pride in knowing that attention and care is given to each item, ensuring that a high standard of quality is met with each item, never compromising on quality or rushing the process.
